Francis Thien

Professor Frank Thien is Director of the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Box Hill Hospital, Eastern Health, and the Monash University Clinical School, Melbourne. He has clinical and research interests in severe asthma, thunderstorm asthma, bronchial thermoplasty, functional lung imaging and interstitial lung diseases. He is a current and past NHMRC research grant recipient and co-authored over 200 papers. He is also Past President of the Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (APAAACI) having been president from 2016 to 2018.
