Toshiaki Kikuchi

Dr. Toshiaki Kikuchi obtained his M.D. from Hokkaido University, Japan, in 1990 and his Ph.D. from Tohoku University in 1994. After completing clinical training in respirology at Tohoku Central Hospital, he began his academic career at Tohoku University, where he served in several roles including Research Assistant and Instructor. From 1997 to 2000, he was a Visiting Fellow in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York, USA. He later served as Instructor in Pulmonary Medicine at Tohoku University Hospital before being appointed Professor at Niigata University Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences in 2015. Since 2025, he has been serving as Director of Niigata University Medical and Dental Hospital.
