Anne ChangProf. Dr
Professor Anne Chang is an established clinician researcher recognised for her contributions to clinical research in the areas of paediatric cough, bronchiectasis and evidence-based medicine. She has helped develop and apply evidence based medicine for respiratory illness in children, in Australia and internationally in the areas of paediatric cough, bronchiectasis and asthma. She has published >650 peer reviewed articles and book chapters, and led several international guidelines. She is currently the Division Leader of Child Health at the Menzies School of Health Research and a Group Leader at the Australian Centre for Health Services Innovation (AusHSI) at the Queensland University of Technology. Her clinical practice is at the Queensland Children’s Hospital, and several remote Indigenous clinics. Her accomplishments include leading research that altered clinical practice for the management of chronic cough and bronchiectasis in children. These have been recognised through multiple awards including the Children’s Healthcare Australasia Individual Medal of Distinction, Asia Pacific Society of Respirology Research Award and was made a Member of Order of Australia. She has received continuous grant funding from the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council including continuous fellowships. She has led numerous successful projects and two Centres of Research Excellence relating to children’s lung health. She holds several prestigious fellowships, including that from the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences and European Respiratory Society.
