Stephanie Yerkovich
Stephanie Yerkovich is a Professor at the Menzies School of Health Research and the Queensland University of Technology. She received a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and a Ph.D. at the University of Western Australia and a Masters of Biostatistics at The University of Queensland. Her research includes multiple large, NHMRC- and MRFF-funded, multi-center, randomized controlled trials and observational studies, for which she provides statistical support. Her research themes have included both paediatric and adult respiratory disease and lung transplantation, and her current research interests are childhood chronic wet cough, particularly the spectrum between protracted bacterial bronchitis and bronchiectasis. She is interested in identifying biomarkers and novel gene expression pathways to define pheno-endotypes of childhood cough. Stephanie also chairs the Children’s Bronchiectasis, Education, Advocacy and Research Network (Child-BEAR-Net) international paediatric bronchiectasis registry.
