"Tuberculosis (TB) and Diabetes Mellitus (DM) are well known to have a bidirectional relationship since a long time ago.
DM increases the risk of having TB and vice versa; TB will worsen the clinical manifestation of DM.
There is a pathophysiology link between these two epidemics. Therefore, TB and DM will increasingly present together.
There is a need to have a strategy on how we can effectively screen and diagnose TB and DM.
With regard to the treatment management, this is important yet challenging.
This presentation will discuss the management of TB and DM when they appear together."
